DESCRIPTION
Fiery serpents wrap around your foes and drag
them together, holding them close.
You summon fiery chains to bind creatures. The chains' CMB is equal to your caster level + your Charisma modifier. Roll only once for the entire spell effect and apply
the result to all targeted creatures.
If the coils succeed in grappling a creature, the creature takes 3d8 points of fire damage
per two caster
levels (maximum of 15d8) and gains the grappled condition. Grappled opponents can't move without first
breaking the grapple. The spell prohibits all other movement unless the creature
breaks the grapple first (although dimensional magic and the like still work as
normal). Each round you concentrate, the coils continue grappling their current targets (though they don't seek out targets
they aren't currently grappling). The coils of fire receive a +5 bonus on grapple combat
maneuver checks against opponents the chains are
already grappling. The coils can't pin foes, but they can reposition foes closer together until they are adjacent to one another.
Each round the coils succeed at a grapple combat
maneuver check, they deal an additional 3d8 points
of fire damage and grappled creatures automatically catch
on fire as does their hair, clothing and any flammable
equipment. The CMD of coils of fire, for the purposes of
escaping the grapple, is equal to 10 + its CMB. If you move out of range of any of the grappled creatures, the chains cease grappling those creatures.
