DESCRIPTION

A shimmering emanation of sorcerous energy protects your friends from harm.

You and each ally in the area of effect gain temporary immunity to the type of energy you specify when you cast it (acid, cold, electricity, fire, or sonic) as protection from energy, except the spell absorbs 20 points per caster level of energy damage (to a maximum of 400 points at 20th level) before it is discharged.

Until the spell is discharged, each target also receives a +4 deflection bonus to AC and a +4 resistance bonus to all saving throws.
